Dad Steve Johnston serves as the State Officer Director for the Arizona DeMolay State Association, and is a Deputy member of DeMolay International Supreme Council. Dad Johnston began as an advisor at Glendale Chapter in 2014 and served as the Chapter Dad and Chapter Chairman.

Dad Johnston has been awarded the Hats Off Award, the DeMolay Cross Of Honor, the Advisor of the Year Award, and in an Honorary Legion of Honor

Dad Johnston is a Third Degree Master Mason and serves on the Arizona Grand Lodge Youth Committee.
